My cat is on a diet. He is not at all happy about this turn of events as it involves my not keeping his bowl full. We went to the vet last week and she told me he cannot gain anymore weight and in fact that he would benefit from a dropped lb or 2... As they have been telling me this for the past year or so I decided to take some serious action. I guess gaining a pound in a year is a lot for a cat... who knew? So a few days ago we switched up his food amounts. This involved a 14lb cat staring me down each night just waiting for the rest. He tried staring, he tried pawing my shoulder and a little meowing. I can proudly say that all he got from me was a firm "no" and "go outside and hunt fatty" (ok maybe I didn't call him fatty). He seems to be adjusting to the change in feeding. I know he can catch mice because he leaves them all over the place. So if he is really hungry he has an option.
Still no napping going down here. Although I can say that she passed out for about 20min in my lap at the Y while we had our snack and social time with the yogi's. Much to my dismay she woke up when I put her in the car...shocking I know.
The Jedi Mind Trick Socks are coming along really nicely. I'm glad I just kept going on them. The pattern does come out right if you just follow the directions. It just doesn't seem like it will at first. I am almost done with the first leg which is awesome. Its a pretty easy pattern to memorize and churn out its just getting past the initial hump that proves difficult. I am off to play with my yarn a little more. :)
